3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, any student who wants to learn can get a great education here. Teachers respond in a timely manner to emails. Every parent has access to their child's gradebook and attendance. Those who are taught to value education and make good decisions thrive here. Getting involved in the many activities that are offered both during and after school also provide great opportunities to build character. There are many teachers there who have even graduated from Carrick. This is just my experience, but the ability to gain a good experience is available to all.Other Review4y ago - Pittsburgh Allegheny 6-8

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is phenomenal. We are so fortunate to go here. Our daughter loves school, has made wonderful friends. From the first week the teachers all seem to know every child by name. Students are greeted each morning with an all-school assembly with drumming, singing, a welcome message by the Principal, and the school rock band rocking out. Its a fantastic way to start the day! There are tons of field trips, lots of art and music incorporated into each day. We love it here!Parent Review6y ago - Pittsburgh Whittier K-5

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome teachers are great. But there are a few teachers that I cannot understand as to why they have choose to teach. Some are rude when you ask for help and do not support the children in a positive way. There are fights and some teachers or staff just stand there and watch. I know because I have seen several videos posted on Facebook before the restriction of cellphones.Parent Review7y ago - Pittsburgh Brashear High School

"There is a very nice playground set in the back of Chatham Village that was recently installed. Olympia Park can be nice but you need to inspect the grass before you let your kids run around… "

"excellent transportation to downtown and many areas. close to the trolley, bus, and incline.............."
- Emily S.

"I used to take the incline into the city before getting a car. I’m not a fan of busses because they aren’t as reliable. I take the T often also. Driving is definitely the best way to get around but public transportation isn’t terrible. There isn’t any “rush hour” traffic on the mountain but trying to get down PJ McCardle around 5pm is quite a lot "
