It is over a mile from southcrest, but is on the busline. Without car you need to get rides to gricery stores though. It is a safe neighborhood I raised kids here for about ten years."

"What makes Brookline unique is the walkability of it, the amount of local stores within walking distances and morning commute into town from 15 - 30 mins. Also there is a community gym, pool and many parks. They are also renovating the aldi's to be much larger than it previously was. South Hills Village is roughly 20-30 min drive. A lot of dog walkers in the area and younger people as well, certainly an up and coming neighborhood in that regard."
