3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, any student who wants to learn can get a great education here. Teachers respond in a timely manner to emails. Every parent has access to their child's gradebook and attendance. Those who are taught to value education and make good decisions thrive here. Getting involved in the many activities that are offered both during and after school also provide great opportunities to build character. There are many teachers there who have even graduated from Carrick. This is just my experience, but the ability to gain a good experience is available to all.Other Review4y ago - Pittsburgh Allegheny 6-8

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has excellent leadership & teaching staff. I've seen a great deal of improvement in my son's reading ability plus the have a solid instrumental program. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is phenomenal. We are so fortunate to go here. Our daughter loves school, has made wonderful friends. From the first week the teachers all seem to know every child by name. Students are greeted each morning with an all-school assembly with drumming, singing, a welcome message by the Principal, and the school rock band rocking out. Its a fantastic way to start the day! There are tons of field trips, lots of art and music incorporated into each day. We love it here!Parent Review6y ago - Pittsburgh South Hills 6-8

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome teachers are great. But there are a few teachers that I cannot understand as to why they have choose to teach. Some are rude when you ask for help and do not support the children in a positive way. There are fights and some teachers or staff just stand there and watch. I know because I have seen several videos posted on Facebook before the restriction of cellphones.Parent Review7y ago - Pittsburgh Brashear High School

"There is a very nice dog park for small and large dogs. There are coffee shops and restaurants in the area that allow dogs. There is a very clean and respected veterinary clinic. One of the biggest negatives is the lack of yards and grass in the area. There are hiking trails and a huge park that we often take our own dog too at the top of the slopes. "
