2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has helped me so much. I went from getting straight C's to straight A's and the teachers are very helpful. I did feel like I wouldn't fit in because I am a different race than most of the students that go here, but I've fit in perfectly and made lots of friends. I've experienced no bullying here or anything and the teachers are also great. I was nervous about this school at first from what I had heard about it, but now I love it and wouldn't want to be anywhere else!Student Review6y ago - Pittsburgh Classical 6-8

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is phenomenal. We are so fortunate to go here. Our daughter loves school, has made wonderful friends. From the first week the teachers all seem to know every child by name. Students are greeted each morning with an all-school assembly with drumming, singing, a welcome message by the Principal, and the school rock band rocking out. Its a fantastic way to start the day! There are tons of field trips, lots of art and music incorporated into each day. We love it here!Parent Review6y ago - Pittsburgh Schiller 6-8

What Locals Say about Troy Hill
- Trulia User
- Visitor

"There is a Boys & Girls Club in Lawrenceville & a good Public Library up in Lawrenceville. The strip has less families around & less things for kids to do. "

"Everyone has to walk their dogs on the street because the sidewalks are broken or there aren't any. Cars also tend to blow the speed limit making walking on the roads difficult."
- Elaine S.
- Resident

"There's a spray park (seasonal) and Troy Hill Citizens park; however, there isn't a playground or community center where kids can safely play. "

"This is an excellent neighborhood with many amenities within walking distance, such as a family medical practice, a pharmacy, a convenience store, a neighborhood grocery, a local restaurant, public parks, public transportation, an active community organization, and much more. It also in close proximity to a boy's and girl's club, bicycle trails, major sports venues, such as Heinz Field and PNC Park, and the Downtown Cultural District. Furthermore It is also situated centrally among many major highways making commuting throughout the city and to the suburbs non problematic."
