7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAnne Frank Elementary School is NOT the best school in Philadelphia as the principal claims. In fact, this school has been steadily declining since Mr. Komins became the principal. He does NOT HAVE ANY CLASSROOM TEACHING EXPERIENCE! How do you become a principal when you were a gym teacher? Mr. Komins has never taught in the actual classroom, just in the gym. This school is way too overcrowded!! I do not feel safe leaving my child in the school yard. There is no adult supervision and kids are running everywhere. It’s just a matter of time until someone goes missing. Equity is a complete joke! The rules only apply to certain students while others can do whatever they want. My child complains about a boy in the class who consistently hits other students and the teacher!! NOTHING is done about behavior issues. In fact, the behavioral students seem to be rewarded. This school is a complete joke. I’m so happy that my child will not attend next year. There are several schools in the area that are a much better option. If you value your child’s education DO NOT SEND THEM TO ANNE FRANK!Parent Review1y ago - Washington George High School

I have had no issues, the counselors and support staff have been helpful and caring.I suggest giving it a try before just going by reviews. My child always complains that she doesn't want to go to Baldi because it stresses her out because of how much homework they give there. 5 homeworks for each class?? There are 9 classes in total. 9x5 is 45. 45 homework in a day! And the teachers are mean and rude.The teacher hits the kids with chairs and they abuse them with lots of slap and homework DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. PLEASE KEEP OUR CHILD SAFE!Parent Review1mo ago

"Great turnout for trick or treating. Lots of friendly neighbors, family friendly, great public transportation options, grocery stores, good schools, close to shopping. The neighborhood has nice sidewalks and the park is close by. Great areas to bike ride, sled in the winter. Lots of backyards in the neighborhood. Feels very safe "

"buses are everywhere, very easy to get anywhere. bad traffic, close to 95, RT. 1 and the turnpike. 1.5 hours to beach or Mtns. NY and Baltimore 2 hours on a train. 25 minutes to the airport. Good Doctors however, are hard to find. I love the convenience of Philly, but hate the noise! constant car crashes at my corner, fire, police, ambulance and bus noise are a constant issue. "
