2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't know how people can rate this school high, and make it out to be one fantastic school? I am a parent of a student. And the times i have been in that school I am forced to see savage fights at the end of the day. Or even in front of the office with 4 girls. With no security around that time i might add. The teachers are "Worksheet" teachers, Meaning they give out worksheets with there textbooks and call it a day. I wouldn't send my dog here. Good Luck parents. Alot of the parents dont even step into the school, let alone know what there kids are doing. The Principal I will admit, Is a very nice man. Now only if he weeds out the kids who go because they wanna have a good time, and the ones who want to learn.Parent Review13y ago - Conwell Russell Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 5th grader began attending Conwell this year. I ride the El train daily commuting to and from work. The Mastery school children are so obnoxious and loud. It was a pleasure to have 4 Conwell young men ride the train and act appropriate, even when one of the Mastery students tried to intimidate one of them. He didn't respond and simply acted as if the boy wasn't speaking to him. I am very proud!Other Review7y ago - Willard Frances E School

"Heroin syringes and broken glass everywhere. Dog poop everywhere. Dangerous characters roaming around. Can’t take safe walks at night. "

"Dislike everything, rude neighbors, people letting their kids out at all hours of the day without supervision, jumping on cars, banging on people’s doors and running away. Always fighting on the block, leaving trash on other people steps."

"Some people are social and some are not. Port Richmond is an up and coming neighborhood. There's a lot of new people here and there are many newly renovated homes. The older people that have lived in this area their entire lives, are kind of being replaced with younger, yuppie kind of feeling neighbors. But generally pleasant. People just want to get rid of the riff raft and have clean, safe homes. "
