6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe were transferred last year to this school due to re-districted school plots. We have had nothing but trouble since arriving. Bullying is RAMPID!!! The kids are wild!! Seems like there is no discipline at home and teachers have their hands full with all these kids! Eligible for Title One funding due to the low income area in its district. Only elementary school in the Methacton district that has this funding. So if your child needs extra help they are funded for it, if not move into another elementary schools district! Cant wait to get thru this school! (Although I hear nightmare stories about the middle schools as well!) Just my opinion, of course! 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a senior in the methacton high school and let me just say my experience has been pretty bad. First off there is so much bullying and discrimination towards students from both the teachers and other students. The teachers also tend to choose one student to pick on and focus on. I do not recommend sending your child here if they have learning disabilites, I have been told and heard teachers tell other students very hurtful things due to them being slower paced. Teachers have said along the lines of "What are you dumb", "You will never make it", "You will never graduate", some of the things I have heard teachers say I am too uncomfortable to even repeat. The environment of the school is very negative and toxic, most of the students here do not enjoy coming in. Everytime I walk into the building I almost feel like I am walking into a prison. Going back to how they treat students with an IEP or learning disability, Methacton is also really bad with doing their best to help the students who are slower paced and have trouble. The only decent thing about the school is the education and the multiple choices for alternative classes.Parent Review2y ago - Arcola Intrmd School

"a bit congested mostly one or two way streets. so no rush hour in the morning and in the evening can a Don five even 10 minutes to the trip. so if you only work 10 minutes down the road as I do it doubles my time sometimes!"
