4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter a bumpy COVID year my kiddo is really enjoying his time at Dana. It's amazing to see him go from not knowing how to read to being a reader! Both his kindergarten and 1st grade teachers have been excellent. Any time I have questions they are answered right away. I get progress reports daily. His teacher has an OWL binder that keeps him organized- I wish all classes had this kids need the structure. Will serve them well into their teen years.Dana has a vibrant PTO and lots of people who want to make the school a great place to learn. What I've learned is that Dana is what you make it. If you have a problem the school is willing to help, from the superintendent to the resource officer, everone wants your kid to succeed; but you have to take the initiative to get involved too.Parent Review2y ago - Wyoming Valley West Senior High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall i’d say it’s an okay school, I found it easy to make friends because there’s a lot of students but it really depends on your own experience. The lunches are always bad and they only offer milk and food that contains dairy anything else you have to pay for, when most of us can’t afford that. The principal is really nice there’s thousands of us but he knows us by name he doesn’t yell at students in trouble instead he talks to out with us and helps us become better people and better spartans , i would say a lot of students don’t seem to care about their work in class and just sit on their phones and do nothing in certain classes but some teachers don’t allow that. if you want your kids to succeed here you have to communicate with their teachers email them and make sure your kids doing their homework. overall i’d say you can get away with not doing homework by just sitting there they don’t actively check. there are a lot of violent fights outside and inside of the school of course they break it up but the kids only get suspended for like 1-3 days and the same kids do it again. The punishment is”in school suspension” where you just kind of sit on your phone in a room which isn’t much of a punishment. They give chrome books and you can use them for work and if it breaks they do fix it for you. There’s sometimes school events but mostly can’t be afforded so we don’t have them. I’d say the most of the bullying is not in school but at football games it seems there is always trouble there and violent fights. Almost every single one of the kids smokes in the bathrooms or is chronically absent, most of the classes are always emptyand some kids just don’t come to school for months or weeks at a timeOther Review2y ago - Wyoming Valley West Middle School
