This school lost my 6 year old daughter twice. She was able to run out of the building by herself into the community where she has no capabilities to keep herself safe.She has autism and was in the special ed program for a year before it relocated to Troutdale for 2022/2023 school year. She is nonverbal. She has no safety awareness and runs into oncoming traffic if not supervised. She could have been seriously hurt or killed.The school staff and district have been tactical and deceitful throughout this entire process.The staff stands behind arbitrary policy and are more concerned about protecting itself from potential litigation and accountability then the safety and well being of the children. Especially the children with disabilities. My daughter has not been able to attend school this year because of Troutdale elementary, Reynolds school district and the social communications special ed program and staff. All who could not guarantee my daughter would make it home at the end of the day. A first grader at Troutdale elementary school has been left behind. Pushed under the rug. And forgotten. The system has failed her. But I continue to fight for our basic rights.I don't wish this on any parent or child.

Reynolds High School is an amazing school. We have great academics, leadership, and sports. We have high numbers of students in Honors/AP classes. Our 2022 senior class president got a full ride to Stanford this fall! We have fun events such as sports games and tailgates, carnivals, and cultural dances to keep students engaged in their social life and tutor/study sessions after school to keep them engaged in their studies. We have a student health center inside the school where every health service is free to students and families. We have a culinary, early childhood education (preschool), metal/wood/car shop, arts building, etc available to students for electives. We have a college and career center where students can go and ask questions and get help for future readiness. We have numerous clubs and also work with AVID, College Possible, CAL, and middle college! All in which helps students for college. We have many lunch options to choose from and they try their best to accommodate with those who have dietary needs as long as you bring it to their attention. Our school even has low cost vending machines for students who need a little extra fuel throughout the day. We have the best librarians who will help you find the perfect book for your likings or any class project you might be stuck on. Our counselors truly want the best for students and will check in regularly and give the best advice on what’s best for you and your academic goals. Our security team does an amazing job keeping students in check and our school safe by monitoring who goes in and out of campus. We have daily news via intercom to keep our students up to date. And offer Drivers Ed (by cost) to those who need extra help learning how to drive (must have permit). With all this being said, yes we are not perfect, no school is. Students have dramatic disputes and that gets resolved right away. But those behaviors are learned from outside of school. And this in no way affects others learning. We have the most diverse school in the area and are lgbtq+ and religion/culture friendly. We’re taught how to respect and love those around us. Those who have the most to say negatively are only the ones from the outside looking in.

Some 7th got pregnant by a 8th gradeer
