2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is coming from the perspective of a parent of a student at this school, as well as a teacher in a different school.School leadership and staff are struggling to keep control of student behavior this year (1st year back from distance learning). We all know that students' behaviors this year are challenging across the board - at all age levels - but McCarty does not seem to be managing well. There are frequent physical violence encounters, frequent theft among students, frequent vandalism of school and student property, and frequent classroom disruptions. Students of color are often subjected to racial harassment (from other students, not from staff). Teacher morale seems to be very low. Simple standards for behavior that could curb a lot of misbehaviors are not being enforced. On the positive side, it seems that teachers are attempting to keep up academic rigor. Relationships between teachers and students seem to be positive overall.Parent Review2y ago - East Gresham Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'll put it this way the only reason I keep my kids here is because despite all the issues I have with this school is because accadmecly they are both doing well and my oldest only has one more year here I want her to stay with her friends.Parents of students at this school need to get more involved.Parent Review6y ago - Gresham High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can never talk to one person. Constantly changing councilors and staff, missed communication from department to department, and an inability of the school to admit that kids are falling between the cracks is frustrating and unfair to the students and parents. My daughter will attend Springwater based on our experience with GHS.Parent Review7y ago - Check out schools near 850 W Powell Blvd.

"Lived here about five years. Not much neighborhood cohesiveness. Almost everyone her is older and retired or planning on staying a year or two. Infrastructure is not great. Internet is HORRIBLE. Traffic lights aren’t times properly. "
- Terrab980

"Not at all a “dog” neighborhood. A few neighbors maintain neat and tidy yards and homes. Many have a large amount of debris extending into the sidewalk. A lot of trash and broken glass. Some houses don’t even have the sidewalk going by there property. Clearly a neighborhood in decline. Very poorly rated local schools. "

"The neighborhood is not particularly clean , and often has a lot of Debris and broken glass on the sidewalks making it difficult to walk dogs. Not all f the streets have sidewalks and The crime rate is fairly high in Hollybrook. It’s actually pretty rare to see anyone walking a dog in this neighborhood."

"This neighborhood has gone down hill a lot. I’ve lived here off and on for 12-13 years. I’m ready to move out of here. Neighbors are sketchy, and cops are almost always in the neighborhood , or next to it"

"Very quiet and clean area for living and very good and friendly neighborhood."
