5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHighland is an amazing school. Principal George Personius does great connecting with kids and the staff are very kind to the kids. I attended Highland for only two years, but it was enough for me to get to know everybody already. Teachers are extremely kind and extremely effective in their teaching. The support staff are also very kind and also care about the students as well. I am very happy with going to this school, and I plan on coming back to say reconnect with the teachers sometime in the future.Other Review8y ago - North Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school cares more about "school spirit" than the actual mental health and well-being of students. The rules are very arbitrary; I got dress-coded for wearing overalls once; yet girls are allowed to waltz through the halls wearing crop-tops and short shorts without consequences. Administrators blatantly lie and manipulate you to make you feel bad. It's as if they have to resort to bullying teenagers to boost their ego. Kids are selfish and lack empathy; they flock in groups that clog up the halls, so you have to shove your way through like a football player if you want to get to class on time. The only reason this school gets a 3/5 is because there are a handful of teachers that are genuinely engaging and supportive (Tyrell and Frye to name a few), and there are numerous elective options unique for a town of this size.Student Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 1215 NW Bellevue Pl.

"I think dog owners would like the distance they would have to walk their dog but they wouldn't like the traffic because it is a highway and drivers don't always pay attention to who's walking on the side of the road. "

"Meth addicts are very respectful and will wait to steal your property while you're at work. Homeless lazy drunks are friendly for the most part, as long as you don't try to kick them off your lawn before noon. Police ask for more money every year while conditions stay the same while our property taxes double every few years to hire more sheriff's that don't respond it calls. Great Town! "

"I am next to the high school, which is great if you love hearing positive noise often or if you have school aged kids. The elementary school is just a few blocks away. It's fun to walk to the high school to see a football game or look out my kitchen window to see baseball games or track meets."
