3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student that has recently graduated from NAMS, I would never recommend it to anyone. I got an okay education but could have gotten much better. I went to NAMS during a highly political time. And you could often tell where a teacher stood on a political issue. Many teachers have political messaging throughout their classrooms. I remember when I counted how many American flags were up compared to the political messaging and there were more political signs. Now, this doesn't mean that I didn't have enjoyable experiences there. I wish that I could have gone to a middle school that wasn't trying so hard to be politically correct.Other Review1y ago - Forest Grove High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome really phenomenal work being done by educators who work long days in order to support students and provide afterschool homework help and clubs. I was most impressed with the band, AP and honors courses, and the way students support one another. I think the school could be even stronger with more choices of electives for students since lots of students would thrive with more choices. I also would love to see more vocational programs such as a veterinary program or automotive as well as more focus on the music, theater and arts programs which are great and could use more community support.Parent Review2mo ago - Tom Mccall Upper Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll of the very dedicated teachers at Fern Hill make this my choice for the Number One school in Oregon. They all are very focused on the children and help them in any way they can, especially with their reading program. This is a bilingual school so that makes it all the more difficult to teach successfully.Parent Review13y ago - Check out schools near 2443 26th Ave.

"There is a large dog park up the street. And if a dog gets out of the yard, drivers are good at slowing when seeing a roaming dog. "

"The county workers(?) or volunteers(?) knocking on house doors in the neighborhood with previous years' dog registrations/pet count in order to collect on any possible delinquencies, counting dogs they see or think they hear is kind of special.. but as long as you keep your dogs licenses updated and are a responsible pet owner in general, you likely won't have any issues at all and will like it just fine :-) Some great dog parks in neighboring cities too!"

"This the quietest, cleanest, friendliest college town that I have seen. It is the unique blend of college town in a small farm town in the middle of wine country that is situated half way between the beaches of the coast and everything that downtown Portland brings. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world."
