GreatSchools Rating
Parent Rating Average
Some areas are fabulous. I’ve had 1 child go all K-5 and another one still going. There has only been 1 teacher, I felt wasn’t that great. Unorganized and was done a lot. However, the teacher’s a wonderful, supportive and clearly love their jobs. The school goes great activities like Culture Night, STEM night, and Art show. Here is a strong parent presence. Now, that can be good and bad. There is a lot of favoritism within the school and NRCO. Not as much as there used to be, but it’s still there. I rated it “Average” because despite the teachers, there is down falls. The current enrollment is 650. Nearly 100 over our neighboring schools. 4 classes in each grade, making the average classroom 27 students. We are extremely crowded. They have make better accommodations for these classes. Few years back, they didn’t know how to handle so many classes and they were all over the place. Now, they each have a classroom or pod. I worry about how bad it will get, without a boundary redraw from the district. School doesn’t handle discipline, like at all. My kids have had kids with clear behavioral issue such as throwing chairs and hit each other. They just get sent to the office to cool down, or they actually give them extra recess and treats, if their good that day. They don’t seem to deal with it and try to find harmony in the class. Again, maybe because there is simple too many students and not enough resources. Gossip is awful at this school. I learned about these issue in the class, from parents and moms that stand out and gossip about other people’s private lives and the students families. They even chat with the cross guard lady and works it’s way inside and outside the school. These are students livelyhood and reputation and their families, Shuss it! In closing, it’s a great school but I don’t rave about it or make a point to attend.

"I have lived in this area for six years. My family and I love the walk ability of the area and the close proximity to the freeway and mass transit. There is an incredible farmers market every Saturday that we love going to. The downtown Beaverton area has a lot of great little shops, a few restaurants and nice coffee houses. The parks in this area are the best. You can't beat Schiffler Park off Erickson. There is so much to do here. Walk, play basketball, join a game of soccer, play on the huge playgrounds, walk the boardwalk or check out the skate park. Our family especially loves the swing set on the Berthold entrance. It's beautifully tucked away and simple. "
