I was bullied from the time I was in 4th grade til I graduated and uad taken it to higher authority multiple times and teachers sat back and watched and did nothing. I played sports for years and was an excellent player, but coaches only play people who are family or they know from family friends. This school all depends on what your last name is. It depends on how much money you have. Its a very materialist school. I have disliked this place since kindergarden. I transfered schools for a year and found myself a lot happier at the other school. SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO ELGIN OR FLETCHER IF YOUR IN THIS AREA.Student Review11y ago

"Being stationed at fort sill and living in Elgin is great! It’s a short 20 min drive from front door to the gate and I never sit in traffic. I can order food before I leave work and it’s ready by the time I get into town. Small town living, its quiet and all the neighbors are friendly"

"Our community is very wonderful. Its built around our school here so its close-knit. My husband and I grew up here. He's been here since 89 and I've been here since 90. We have people on our street we went to school with. Events: Maple St. Mafia Karaoke Parties, Halloween, Back to school assistance for our students hosted by the local churches, Crods n Rods, Parades."

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for almost a year but in Elgin for almost 2. This is an awesome great community to live & be a part of. It reminds me of the small town that I grew up in where people take care of each other & support the schools & students as a community. The whole town comes to the Football, Basketball, Baseball & Volleyball games whether they have kids or not. It it quiet & the sky is beautiful. The police make sure our town stays safe."

"Military town with veterans, contractors, and law enforcement as the majority. The rest is all farm land. At night you can see all the stars in the sky and it’s really quiet. "

"I moved to Elgin about a month ago and it feels like home. The town has everything you could need within a 5min drive. There are great restaurants (BBQ, Mexican, Chinese, pizza, hamburgers, and country food), a grocery store, gas station, and more. The people are nice and the air is clean. "

"I live in the Elgin original townsite and can say that it is a very peaceful area. I walk my dogs almost daily in the mornings and at night. This is an area where you can let your kids go outside and play while not having to worry about their safety. There are plenty of parks they can play safely. Unfortunately, there is not a lot in terms of shopping or nightlife but they do have a decent mix of restaurants to choose from. Traffic is super low and cleanliness is a priority. You would enjoy calling this place home. I know I do!"
