7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMe:I graduated in 2019, and I'm currently at an out-of-state university. My BAHS experience may differ from others. I took 9 AP classes and was on the soccer team during my time there. Teachers:I'd say most of my teachers were caring and effective. I learned from most of them. However, I have to say the AP science teachers I had were inadequate (Chemistry and Physics C: Mechanics). The teachers just did not know enough of the subject to be able to teach it. I'm glad to see that those AP science teachers do not teach at BAHS anymore. It's nice that Broken Arrow has opened the Vanguard Academy, which is a facility for STEM. I'm not sure how the majority of on-level teachers were. The ones I had were alright. High School:The high school is BIG. 3500+ students across 3 grades is a lot of people. My graduating class consisted of 1147 students. The building and facilities were able to hold that many people and then some in my opinion. The campus is like the size of a small community college. With it being a big high school, there are plenty of extracurriculars and activities for students to engage in. Sports, band, orchestra, choir, clubs, you name it. Students:As with many high schools and life in general, there are cliques. People tend to surround themselves with people like themselves. You got the popular kids, rebels, nerds, etc. Some people even group themselves with the same race. Not everyone does this, but it's a trend. Despite this, I'd argue the school is still quite diverse. With the diversity at the school due to a large student body, any student will likely fit in. You'll probably find students like yourself. I experienced some bullying, but I was able to deal with it and block it out.Other Review2y ago - Oak Crest Elementary School
