6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to school here all four years. Before I even started I joined a sports team. I saw how encouraging and personable each coach was (even on the other sports teams). Teachers encourage Freshman to ask questions and are very lenient the first week of school to help combat the stressfulness of starting at a new school. Teachers maintain their relationships with their students throughout the years, and generally encourage them to return and visit. Many teachers are willing to hang out and talk during their free periods. It makes South more like a family when students and teachers can connect on a personal, and respectful level. Many teachers treat students as if they were their own children. The staff is very involved in school events such as football games, basketball games, theater performances, pep rallies, and much more. It is the most diverse school in the district, and also has the International Baccalaureate program so people of many different races, backgrounds, ethnicities, and from all over the world go to class together each day. I would not choose any other high school in Westerville to attend if I had to go through it again.
