They also don’t enforce any of the crosswalk rules during AM kindergarten pick up. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are a family with experiences in 5 different school districts, across 11 different schools with our children. Morton Middle School has been the worst experience to date…with plenty of comparisons to draw from. The administration of discipline is subjective and extreme, and certainly doesn’t follow a progressive discipline approach. Athletic selection is another area that exudes bias. Essentially if you didn’t graduate from this district (alumni) or are not from here, be ready for a challenge. "It had everything you need to be alive there. It has a good community, a market place, a super market, a full blown hospital up the street, a public transit line, a major highway close enough by to not hear it but close enough to get to it in 5min. No qualms with this place! "

"Vandalia is unique in that both I-70 & I-75 meet here, hence it’s nickname as the “Crossroads of America”. We also have Jim’s donuts, arguably the best fritters around, the Vandalia Art park, which features a changing sculpture exhibit, a natural spring where you can get water at the historical building on Alkaline Springs Rd, and an incredibly safe and friendly community. "

"Excellent proximity to Dayton International Airport. Both Interstate 70 & Interstate 75 can be easily accessed in Vandalia, and it is a less than 15 minute drive to downtown Dayton. It’s a pleasant suburb, and the public schools are fairly rated within the state."

"I live in Vandalia and love this great community. The schools are excellent, the city activities are well organized and there is something for every age. There is a state of the art recreation center, wonderful biking and walking trails. The convenience to interstate 70 and 75 and a ten minute drive to the Dayton Airport makes travel very convenient."
