7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers in this building are open to helping my children with special needs. The SPED department is really caring and considerate of what they need. Things are improving greatly in the areas of social emotional support and the principal does a great job taking care of situations before they become worse. There are several opportunities for my kids to get help. They have an after school program and some teachers are very accommodating to stay after school or work early in the morning to help answer questions. We get communication frequently and it feels like home here. The school is small enough that my kids are known personally and when the community needs something, the district comes together to support. I love the out of the box thinking that we get here. I recommend this school because it challenges my kids and makes them prepared for high school.Parent Review7mo ago - Miami East High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have gone to this school since I was in preschool, and I am currently in my junior year.Good things- Overall, IEP program is really strong.-Some teachers a good. And that's where my praises end, here's some problems I have with the school- Very Homophobic and Transphobic (was told by a fellow student I was going to h*ll for being bisexual. Have heard multiple people use the F slur. Etc)- Racism is a major problem (we don't have a large diversity of students but I have heard so many racist things.)- Bullying (I was bullied and borderline harassed my 7th and 8th grade year and faculty did nothing to the people who bullied me despite reporting it multiple times)-Teachers can be terrible at teacher/handling students-Purposely put me into classes too slow for me my freshman year, suspect this was because I am on an IEP. And so many more.I have heard more praise of this school than it deserves.Student Review2y ago - Check out schools near 2780-2810 N Troy Sidney Rd.

"Kensington neighborhood looks like it should be nice, but people drive entirely too fast through here, blow stop signs constantly, and everyone with a dog seemingly lets it bark at will and defecate in other people's lawns. "

"I lived in Troy for several years. Definitely a nice area. No public transportation. There are areas that were rough thirty years ago and had not improved any. However, there are a lot of good neighborhoods. If you are moving from out of state, don’t rely on your realtor says on what areas are rough, get residents opinions. "
