I would rate this school above average in experience. It's an excellent school!

My experience as a parent of a graduate of class 2023 of this school excellent staff and teachers who have the students best interest at heart this school as great opportunities for kids 7 -12 a business school like no other Mr. Barnett and Mrs.Strong are excellent principles and they have 100% graduation rate there at Jones Leadership academy excellent pto .

I think I would put no stars if I could. My son went to Pre K here and the teacher was rude as can be, then my son tells me that the teacher helper in the room has scratched him numerous times pulling him out of the bathroom because he was not hurrying on washing his hands and then pulled him out of class because he had to go to the bathroom and he did not get up fast like she wanted him too! I don’t agree with anyone touching my child like that! I even have pictures of the scratches and marks on him. I reported it to the Board of Education and he no longer goes to that school, I transferred him out. Teacher did not seem to be interested in fixing the issue either and didn’t help she was rude and the way she spoke to parents made them feel they were nothing.

What a GREAT school! My son just finished his freshman year here and had an outstanding experience. The teachers were great, and the curriculum was just as good, if not better, than that of the "private" schools that many of his friends attend. Unfortunately, there are drugs at EVERY school. I do not believe that Rogers is worse than any other school, nor is there a lack of security. When my daughter is ready for high school in a few years, I will NOT hesitate to send her to Rogers.

First off I’m a ex student here and these people were terrible there were the teachers that never helped you there were the bad people who always started drama the ridiculous amount of homework the terrible bathrooms the very disrespectful gym teacher that is now retired so you won’t have to deal with him but he was still there the fact that sometimes there wasn’t enough food at lunch there was the kids in higher grades that treated the ones in lower grades like trash especially the 7th graders the fact that the directors never cared about your side of the story and were quick to suspend you and last but not least how they will not help you if you need it now there are some that will like the Lego teacher or the social studies teacher heck even the science teacher but sometimes the explanations would be dry don’t even get me started on the math teacher who would never help you with his outrageous amount of homework I’m talking 4 assignments a day all I’m saying is this school is terrible you can send a straight A student there and expect them to get f’s and no it’s not that the school is harder it’s that they give no explanation and lots of homework please for the mental and physical health of your child do not send them here during my time here I grew very depressed and my anxiety was just really bad there please I’m begging you. Oh and on more thing I forgot to mention was the kid who sexually assaulted people and he only got yelled at and his schedule changed while other people got kicked out the guy who literally sexually assaulted me and my friends got to stay now I’m finally done……….. now let’s talk about how dirty the school is that bugs coming out the water fountain the bugs inside the lights the roaches crawling around in bathrooms and classrooms oh right I almost forgot the rats that run around the whole building mainly in the engineering labs you know this school sucks I promise you don’t make you child suffer please

Excellent staff and teachers who have the best interest at heart of students they really work with the kids and teach the girls of to be young ladies .

Do not send your kid here if you want to have a relationship with them as an adult. This school uses being “early college” as an excuse to be harsh on kids. Their “zero tolerance policy” means little to nothing and they do not adhere to it. If your kid has connections with any TPS official you can come back after leaving and you will not be in any trouble unless the students start being vocal publicly. Don’t come to this school district in general; it’s horrible. There are so many bad staff members causing problems they refuse to fix. I will never understand why TPS gets so much positive press when a vast majority of students end up with mental issues before and after graduation. Typically it’s not the teachers’ fault what happens, but there are a few bad apples here and there who enable the problem causers.You are encouraged to not open up about issues that happen inside the school and more often than not you will get into trouble for “tattling” rather than the people who got caught breaking big rules.

MLK school for boys..great school for boys...love the principal and the teachers...I love the idea "caught being good" and you get rewarded. That means they are really paying attention to the student and not just in the class room.
