4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe low score of 4/10 is very misleading. My now adult children attended Greenwood and then my granddaughters. Mr Colon and the teachers are definitely top in their class. They all care about every single student. If a student needs extra attention in a certain area then the staff makes sure they get it. They see the potential in every student and works with them to reach goals that are set. We moved states and my biggest concern is that my grandchildren won’t attend a school even half as good as Greenwood or have teachers as caring and experienced. #GO KNIGHTSParent Review2y ago - Jefferson Junior High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFirst of all I want to say “WLS4kids” is very misleading and a flat out lie. They are NOT for the kids. I cannot speak for the teachers. I will say that my son really enjoyed his short 5 weeks at Whitmer. He was 5 weeks into his Freshman year when the school unenrolled him without verbally speaking to me or reaching out to me at the very least to see if there was a reasonable explanation to why they were told that we do not live at the address when they came out to do a residence check. They had my phone number, why not call me, the mother to see if there was an error and instead of going to 3517 the went to 3511 because the 7 looked like a 1. So they handled the situation like all others. Unenroll the student right away. As soon as they were told there is nobody by that name that lives here they went back to the administration building started the paperwork But did not send home one letter with my son indicating there was a question about our residence and asking me to correct it. They cannot possibly care about the kids after seeing how they handled our situation. And to top it off the school has open enrollment and below average state testing scores so why would anyone need or even want to give a wrong address so their child can attend this school? If I didn’t live in district I woulda have just registered him and filled out the open enrollment form . I am so disappointed with the way they handled our situation when it was all just a typo mistake. Then the process to re enroll him required a ridiculous amount of extra documentation to prove our residence. Do they think they are the Harvard of Toledo? 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagei have been attending this school for only a few days now but i am already having the best time,i have gotten so many friends, and i beleive that any student could go here and have a absolutly wonderful time there just like i am,if students are having a bad time then maybe they aren't getting with the great program that they have but i wouldn't see why they wpouldn't,so i recommend this school to all (7th ~or~ 8th depending on the year) students if you have any complaints i'd like to see them considering how amazing this school is.Other Review10y ago - Check out schools near 62 California Blvd.

"Very family friendly, easy to get everywhere from this location!! Bus stops close and park close with bike path and tennis courts and public pool. Well maintained neighborhood with friendly people who look out for each other. Public schools are close along with a wonderful hospital ."

"Anywhere you live you want to practice safety and teach your children. It's also to know your neighbors. I found out that many people I know live nearby in 5 points. The West Toledo Library has a lot to offer. Sylvania Area Neighbors do as well. If you look for the good you will find it."

"a good neighborhood 90% of the time, the only real issue is the young teenagers and pre teens not having any guidance in life, so they act foolish sometimes. but all the neighbors keep up on their homes and it seems contagious! almost like friendly competition! which is a really good thing!"
