4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTwo of my children attend this school. I feel the school does a good job following the state of Ohio standards. While I believe some of the teachers are exceptional, others fail in my opinion. My other concern is the school's policy on cell phone use during school hours. However, after extensive research of other local schools I found that this is an issue in every school and needs to be addressed by the state. Additionally, i feel that any child can attend any school and be successful or fail. The students success or failure is a combination of the education received at school, the parents involvment and regulard communication with their students teachers and other staff, as well as their support and encouragement with the student at home. Together these things can make a successful student.Parent Review8y ago - Snowhill Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a terrible school. Bullying and sexual assault/harassment is rampant. I reported assault at least 3 times in my time at SHS and I was coerced by administration into not contacting the police. Even the school resource officers are awful. I can count on one hand the number of good teachers I had. The staff here needs to start caring about their students. It’s shocking that this school hasn’t been run into the ground yet.Other Review3y ago - Check out schools near 116 E Madison Ave.

"The neighbors in this area make it worth living here. Only second to the charming architecture. Just wish there were better local restaurants!"

"There is a lot of cookouts and family and community get togethers also. Our community comes together when we really need it the most. A lot of church charities and school charities. Not all Springfield is bad. Also the ymca is a good community even center to. This is my home town and there is still good left in this town. Not all is bad. Also the soup kitchen where it feeds the homeless and also gives the people clothes. There is also basketball courts where the community can get together and play basketball and enjoy it and have fun. There’s a skate park also where younger kids skate and ride there bikes at. There is a lot of bike trails and fields to play sports "

"There are many parks in the area, with decent playgrounds for children. The bigger parks are great for nature walks. There is quite a bit to see."

"there’s no dog park. there’s a few neighborhood cats that like to stray and you often hear the neighborhood dogs barking. it’s no bother really since everyone minds their business. just something to be mindful of."
