"Being former military, we went out of our way to move back here 3 times. This place has everything we valued in a place to call home. Safe, strong property values with neighbors that care about their homes, and schools that are highly rated both statewide and nationally."

The schools are top rated, neighborhoods are very safe, and the city services are great. Neighbors are friendly, property values are strong, and it’s always been a great place to call home. We are thankful we ended up here."

"My husband grew up across the street from this house and decided to bring our family to Oakwood to take advantage of the award-winning school system. A beautiful city with wonderfully maintained homes and above average city services. We don't haul our trash to the curb, they come pick it up in back. The Police are also all trained as Fire Dept. and EMT so they handle it all and have a super fast response time, as the city is small. The shops of Oakwood are charming and we are lucky to have Dorothy Lane Market just a few blocks from this lovely home. Oakwood also has its own library, about a dozen parks (including a new dog park) and tree-lined streets with well-maintained sidewalks for walkers. The city plows the sidewalks when there is over an inch of snow."

"A historic front porch community with excellent schools. Oakwood High School has been rated nationally as a top 150 or better by Newsweek Magazine several years running with a history for acceptance at top colleges. One mile by two miles long, all neighborhood schools are less than 1 mile away from everyone, no school busing. Far Hills (aka Dayton’s Main Street/Hwy 48) in one of just two streets with a 35 MPH speed limit, all the rest are just 25 MPH. Wonderful community center with pool, tennis and park. The Wright Brother’s Mansion is near the center of town. Top response time in nation for EMT/Police/Fire response. Central location to Dayton, Ohio. Adjacent to University of Dayton (north), Dayton Country Club (west), Hills and Dales Community Golf Course (west), NCR and Moraine Country Clubs to the (southwest). Electric and other city busses serve Dayton, Oakwood and surrounding areas. Life doesn’t get much better than this. "

"Oakwood is a great small city with one of Ohio's best public school districts, a very responsive public safety department, excellent services including rear of property trash pick-up and snow plowing of sidewalks since the school children all walk to schools. Beautiful architecture and close proximity to University of Dayton and downtown performing arts. If you love older hones, tree lined sidewalks and tudor architecture, Oakwood is for you."
