7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughters have come up through the Tuslaw Local School system. I would have to say I agree with Rebecca. The quality of programs offered at Tuslaw are shabby and their motto is and always has been "we operate on the bare minimum" Their rating for college readiness is a 4.1 other High Schools in our area are well above. I do not understand why they are not under strict review. Most of the staff, board and administration are closely related so if you have a problem at the school you are probably speaking to someones brother, aunt, mother or father. Their zero tolerance bullying policy doesn't exist and it operates on an "old boys" network. Children are bullied by teachers and students alike. When reported "they get a talking to" and it continues until it is so bad you are required to find another suitable safe environment for your child. I do not recommend this school to anyone, in fact I would suggest finding the nearest school to you and getting your child open enrolled as soon as possible.Parent Review10y ago - Tuslaw High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a graduate of a larger district, and really thought that sending my children to a smaller school would be beneficial, however, this school is incredibly clicky. Even the parents. My kids have been in the district for 11 years and we are still left out of the loop. If you don't know people, forget about being included in sports information. I appreciate the education portion, more one on one time and smaller classrooms, but man the social aspect is a nightmare. My daughter is a changed person because of the bullying she has received from her peers. I have spoke with principals/ guidance counselors, teachers, and it never gets better. The bullying report on the schools website always reads ZERO infractions. We live in the district, and are luckily only a few short years out from everyone being finished. We don't have to worry about physical fighting here, which is great, but the cyber bullying and taunting, teasing is constant, and the teachers definitely prefer the "popular" kids.Parent Review1y ago - Tuslaw Elementary School

"Walk, Drive or Crawl for 4 miles to the nearest store or workplace. Of course if you want to eat outdoors then just walk next doors and grab an ear of corn right off the stalk and go sit on the bench so you will not have to commute into town that day!! Hooorrrayyy !!! Commuting is for other people who want to go feed the ducks on the pond about a mile down the road."
