6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHi, I am a student at Durling Middle School. I am writing this review because some of the staff are strict and their lunches are horrible because last year, I found a dust bunny in my lunch and also, don't rely on the school cop to protect your kids because he does nothing but flirt with the staff. And the bathrooms are nastyStudent Review5mo ago - Vincent Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly way better than Durling, this school has actual respectful teachers, a good recess area. Good food to an extent and more. Would enroll.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near Ashbolt Dr.

"Lorain is a cheap place to live but not good if you have kids. We are leaving Lorain to get our kids in better schools. There is a lot of gang violence and young teens dying. Don’t want my kids to grow up around that. "

"If you want to live in a community where your neighbors are more like family, and your children will have an endless supply of friends to play with, then Deerfield is the place. We've lived here for 5 years and love it. Everyone is kind and inviting. The only downside is the gun range, which is not moving any time soon. But honestly, after 5 years, we hardly notice the noise. But the nature and people surrounding us make up for it."

"Grew up on the West Side of Lorain, where most of my family still lives. Certain areas are better than others of course, but generally it is quiet and safe. Lorain has lots to offer like the boardwalk, the Palace theatre, and the International Fest in addition to being close to things like Cedar Point, Cleveland, and tons of shopping"
