6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs an alumnus of CHS, I can say that I was definitely prepared well for college. When I graduated in 2009, the school offered 4 AP classes: Physics, Calculus (AB), American History, and English Lit & Comp. When I graduated, I had 28 credits that counted towards graduation -- and I applied them to Miami University, where I was able to graduate in 3 years with a B.A. in Psychology because my AP classes enabled me to "walk-in" as a Sophomore by credit hours. 3 years later, I have 2 more degrees, and graduated college -- and graduate school with very little debt. The faculty of the school really, and I can't emphasize this enough, really care whether or not students do well -- and almost every faculty member is involved with student extracurricular activities (sports, Scholastic Bowl, academic clubs, etc.), which demonstrates their commitment to their students' success -- both in and out of the classroom. Additionally, many faculty members are interested in their students' social and emotional well-being, and they always have a well-timed word of advice or listening ear to make sure that students are being served as best as they can.Other Review9y ago - Coldwater Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has attended Coldwater Elementary from kindergarten to the 4th grade. Teachers are very active in keeping the parents informed and up to date on their student's progess and helping with any problem areas. Smaller class sizs help with interaction as well as keeping the kids focused on learning. We will be moving soon and the idea of taking him out of this system is extremely distasteful...we will be judging his future school aginst the standards set by Coldwater, and those standards are pretty high.Parent Review11y ago - Check out schools near 350 E Elizabeth St.
