3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been attending this school for 5 years and since I have been here, the school has made a lot of improvements. The band especially. Our extra curricular activities are very family-like and make it much easier to find friends and teachers to get along with. Teachers are very open and friendly, making it easier to study and work with them. They are also willing to make adjustments based on the overall participation and interest of the students. We have programs such as Dater Cares which allows students to volunteer and help their community. I think that the school may be hard to warm up to at first but once you become familiar with the environment, it can be a great experience as long as you put forth the effort and determination.Student Review6y ago - Shroder Paideia High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageShroder is not a good school because they pretty much worry about the uniforms instead of our grades. Teacher doesn't really don't help student like they should.Other Review10y ago - South Avondale Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school doesn't keep the patents informed about problems the students are having. We don't get grades back from the work that are fine in class we are not informed about different state test that the kids have to take until less than a week prior. The homework that comes home with the kids are irrelevant to the state test the kid have to take. Bullying is not taken serious. Even when you complain to the board you get no responses back after they take your information and tell you they will call you within 48 hours. They are not teaching for success. They are only teaching kids how to take test. The most important factor is you think your child is doing good because you see the good scores on homework but in class work doesn't come home. When you ask about it the response is always we work on that stuff in class in small groups. No one is being held responsible and no one is looking into the actual numbers of what is going on. Even this message will get overlooked. Maybe if I go to the news or write a column in the news paper people will then start to pay attention. The principle is horrible. To me it seems like they only care about the 9000+ dollars they get from each students that comes out of the tax payers pocket. When you start to ask real questions the blame then send to go on the student which usually is "he /she lacks focus" or home work is getting turned in late because they gave the homework folder to the wrong teacher. Instead of having one homework folder they need to have one for each class. This school sucks. It's failing and it's not the kids fault the school makes it seem like your kid is doing good until report cards or testing comes out. Then that's when you hear about all the problems. Before then you hear nothing and see nothing except graded homework.Other Review7y ago - Walnut Hills High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn my 4 years at Western Hills University High School (9-12), the experience was horrible. I've never experienced a school as bad as this. The students are wild, and the staff make no effort of trying to change them. I do not take pride in the fact that I attended and graduated from this school.Student Review5y ago - Withrow University High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageConsider a private school if it all possible. This school is in a steady and serious decline as indicated by the various metrics found here. The school is more interested in uber left, woke culture indoctrination than it is in education. Walnut (maybe) or private school is your only hope in Cincinnati.Parent Review3y ago - Woodward Career Technical High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAt Hughes stem high school, All the kids are extremely depressed at this school. Half of the teachers do not care about the students. They don't even really teach they just give them something and expect them to know it. I really do not feel like my kid is learning or achieving anything in this school. The principal accepted to many kids and now some of the other kids cannot go to the pathway they wanted to go too. The yonder pouches are outrageous. I need to contact my kid sometimes and I cannot contact them because of the pouches, and I do not want the office to know my personal information. A lot of the kids steal, and someone stole my kids Bus card, Headphones, and Binder. My kid told me that they are even banned from the target because they stole over 10k worth of stuff. The school is dirty it has roaches and rats, I see dirt and dust everywhere, I feel as if my child is not safe here.Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 229 Sturgis Ave.

"They would not like poop everywhere, people don't pick up after their dogs. People abandon their dogs and they just roam the street. If you are a dog owner wanting to live in the area don't do it."

"Sometimes there’s broken glass and food scraps on the sidewalk that dogs can get into. Also it would be great if people would take more initiative in cleaning up after themselves and not litter "
