7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a retired middle school math and English teacher, and I am very satisfied with the education given my grandchildren: challenging curriculum, excellent teachers, high expectations, solid guidance and good leadership. The report cards are detailed even without added comments. The school also offers age-approriate enrichment activities. The kids are thriving under these experiences.Other Review12y ago - Hillsdale High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHillsdale students are being left behind Steven Dickerson refuse to figure out a better way to teach the kids during the pandemic. He needs to step down and let a real leader lead. They allow sports with strangers during pandemic but do not allow kids to attend school full time with neighbors, friends and relatives. Kids who need extra help are not being helped he sights lack of space. They have only spent 5 days in class during the first month. Dickerson has been seen out playing in a golf outing with 70 people without a mask and when questioned he said he does not feel safe around kids at this time. Instead of focusing on education during this times he spending all his energy on worrying about ceremonial ground breaking for the new school. Lets get him out of here before he gets to enjoy the new schoolParent Review3y ago - Hillsdale Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m only giving a four star due to the teachers that made an impact on my train of thought but I experienced bullying as a kid and never felt comfortable at the middle school when mr. kieb was principal in fact I remember an altercation where a kid was trying to get into it with me and all the principal had to say was “ you both need to shut your mouth” instead of getting to the reason of why there was issues. I wasn’t a perfect student but I deserved the same respect and gratitude as any other kid. They seen I was struggling with academic’s and instead of trying to push me forward they gave up on me. But this ain’t nothing hateful I’m grateful for where I am today as I’ve graduated as of 2019 but I still look back and wonder why I wasn’t believed in as the other kids. I recommend this school 100% because the good for sure out ways the bad!Other Review2y ago - Check out schools near Township Road 1215.

"This neighborhood is one of the quietest in Ashland. You still get all the amenities of living in town, with the quiet and safety of being farther out in the country. Large lots, many of them fenced and perfect for the family dog or just for your children to play!"
- Goldcosmos

"Moved here with my wife for a new job. It's a nice little town, but there isn't much to get excited about. It's a safe place to raise a family, which is great, but you'll have to drive about an hour to get to any big cities (Columbus, Cleveland, and Akron). There's still shopping in nearby cities, 15-30 minutes away. If you decide to live here, you'll have good neighbors and plenty of peace. "
