4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI've been a student here for two years and both years have been the equivalent of hell on earth with admins, none of them care and are willing to throw teachers AND students under the bus to seem as innocent as possible. Several admins have been unwelcoming, and even rude to me and my friends for simply dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety, had admins brag about suspending people, and an admin say that if I didn't have anything she'd find something. Not to mention the insane amount of blame that this school puts on students for things they could've helped with. Had an admin get mad at me that I didn't get an email they NEVER SENT OUT about OSTs!Student Review1y ago - King Elementary School

"Porchrockr is amazing. Happens once a year in August. Highland square is a great area but West Akron is broad area and many of these questions do not apply to the whole area. Highland Square USA unique area and the bars have many events. "

"As transplants from the East Coast, we were trying to decide between Lakewood, Cleveland Heights, and Highland Square. We're so happy we landed here in Highland Square because it's got everything we want without the stuff we don't want. Food, walkability, safety, schools, neighborhood events, etc. So we bought a house --- we're staying! The vibe is everything."

"not picking up after there animals letting them tear people's trash barking all dog owners love people who clean after there pets and keep them under control especially if there's children around"

"There are a lot of nice parks in the area and very well maintained. Highland Square Library is great and has a lot to offer as free activities. And the history of the old theater is a great place to watch a family movie with inexpensive concessions! "

"There are a lot of bars on the main strip, but it is safe and not too crazy. The library is great and with a Walgreens on the corner and a Mustard Seed Market you can feel taken care of. Plenty of nice parks as well. "

"Most people are respectful and keep their dogs leashes and clean up after them. Sidewalks make it safer, but some are old and uneven"

"This neighbourhood is great! Well kept houses, safe environment and parks with activities with five minutes walking distance. Home to porch rockr and other festivals. Quiet for being close to downtown, but still close enough you can hear Lock 3 concerts and the St V band play. "

"Highland Square is more distant from the highway than other neighborhoods/areas but that means it feels much homier. Most of the houses around me are older/historic, very quaint, with gardens and people walking dogs all the time. "
