5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI came to this school as a freshman. At first I didn't want to go. I thought this school was filled with drugs and fights and I cried for two weeks. But when I stated I saw that it was a new world for me. It's a major culture shock. The kids, teachers, and environment has been a great part of my life. I'm proud to say I'm now a senior, graduating with honors, and going off to college on a full ride scholarship. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's a failing school, and remain a failing school until the teachers and administrators take a proactive, not reactive approach to learning and discipline in the school, YECA and Cross Hill respectively. The teachers take an unusual amount of time to answer a simple email, communication is very poor, work is based on modules, with no explanation of what and why certain assignments are being administered. "Been living in Northwest Yonkers for 6 years now. Love it here. Beautiful Victorian homes. Beautiful views of the Hudson river, hiking trails and its very safe and quiet. Lots of things to do nearby like Ridge Hill and the new Boyce Thompson. Friendly neighbors and proximity to the city and surrounding river towns cant be beat."
