7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagecool school, teachers care about you, they are strict but not mean. teachers USUALLY let you make up homework, well atleast Ms.Oliveri does. drama goes around in the classroom, teachers do nothing about those conflicts, dress code policy is unneccesary, they give you appropriate work, homework isn't overwhelming, its reinforcement and review like it should be, and lessons are kinda boring but its better than nothing, the students themselves love tea and drama though.Student Review5mo ago - Ps 209 Clearview Gardens

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter attended the G&T program at PS209 since kindergarten (shout out to our beloved Mrs. Pfeiffer!) and she is currently in 5th grade. PS209 is like family and she (we) always felt welcomed. She will be sad to leave when she graduates this coming June. It's bittersweet, because we are fully prepared to take on what middle school brings but we will also miss our friends at PS209. I have only one child but if she had siblings, they would definitely be enrolled here as I am completely satisfied with my daughter's education and life experiences learned at PS209. After reading reviews, I was surprised to read some negative opinions in regards to the staff or the school in general. I guess you can't please everyone. It's my experience that people who are happy rarely leave reviews, but people who are unhappy will always shout it from the roof tops. I hope my experience helps you make the right decision.Parent Review1y ago - World Journalism Preparatory: A College Board School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWJPS is a joke. There is so much bullying and so much violence. Administration does not punish the perpetrators so it gets worse and worse. Save your kid from this school!Parent Review11mo ago - Check out schools near 163-58 17th Ave #1.

"Compared to other areas Whitestone has larger lots and more single family homes. Most front yards are well kept, and relatively quiet.while bus is needed to get to trains, it is relatively a short ride and to the end stop of the 7 train. There are to a of bused in flushing. Relatively high and stable home ownership means you are likely to know your neighbors. "
