4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot a good school for special needs children possibly any children. My daughter started here and in one year regressed from her previous school. The second year she was there she missed her first day because the school didn't pick her up. I dropped her off the second day and they LEFT HER AT THE SCHOOL. When I tried to call and talk to someone about it (mind you I was irate) they said "I'm not going to talk to you" and hung up the phone and wouldn't pick up again. If you can avoid this school I would highly recommend it.Parent Review9y ago - Senator James H Donovan Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a new student at Proctor High School. Coming from a different town and different school district this school does not follow up with the current standards of a good school. The teachers are very rude and disrespectful to the students which isn’t a good way to build bonds and strengthen learning when the students don’t like you. Also, kids fight in the school almost everyday, multiple times per day, and administrators barely do anything after the fact besides tackling students down to break a fight up. Lastly, teachers try to push their “beliefs” on to the students and when they speak out on whatever they’re saying the teachers tend to feel offended and attempt to embarrass you in front of your entire class. I’d go to any other public high school in Utica if there were others to choose from.Student Review2y ago - Check out schools near 120 James St.

"I lived in Utica ny for 7 years and for the most part it’s ok as long as you mind your own business but on the flip side not much to do as far as fun is concerned I normally travel outside of Utica for that. The cost of living is good and I have a good paying job but I don’t want to stay here I’m going to eventually move somewhere I want to be."
