6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTuckahoe schools are totally under-rated. My kids have been in the district since Cottle, and have had exceptional teachers throughout. Our experience has mostly been with the academic and music programs, but I know people rave about the sports offerings as well. As for us, we’re now at the high school, and both kids are at the top of their classes. THS has a new Principal, Mr. Arthur, who started this year and immediately made it possible for my oldest to take an AP course that the school didn’t offer. His emphasis on scholarship promises to make this terrific school even better. I also have to make a plug for the Strings program, led by Charles DuChateau. "I love the area. I despise the Southampton Meadows development that contains several listings on Winter Way, Spring Lane, and Summer Drive.. Poorly built homes. Outrageous asking prices considering the houses are built in several months with numerous problems that need fixing shortly after purchase. Avoid Southampton Meadows development."

"GREAT LOCATION! Nice quiet families. The only cars that go by are people who live in this tiny neighborhood - so kids ride bikes right in the road. YOU BYPASS ALMOST ALL THE RT 27/39A TRAFFIC!! because you get off of rt. 27 it as soon as it slows down - which is awesome in the summertime."
