4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son graduated from that school in 2014, he was a straight "A" student, Principal O'Mard was always an excellent Principal, and I as a Parent was always involved in my children's education, just like my father did. The Teachers cannot do it alone, we parents must do our part, the school is not a day care center. Regardless of the teacher's ability to teach , students must stay focus, do their school work and have proper behavior, but again this starts in the home. My son Kadeem Lewis did great at this school and is graduating from Queens college this year, June 2019, as a music teacher with a BA in Instrumental Music Education.Parent Review5y ago - Ps 15 Jackie Robinson

"It’s decent and it seems like a pretty cool place to live. I’m just visiting the area for now and I feel pretty safe here. "

"This area is clearly declining as is evident in the aging homes wanting renovation and upkeep. There is little else here in addition to the history in the name - schools, transportation, sanitation services, parks, things one would expect from a prime neighborhood are lacking. "
- Michelle
- Resident
- 3y ago
"You have to really look hard into the schools. All districts are not created equal and this is NOT one of the better ones. As for the neighborhood itself, each block has a different personality. One block may be safe and if you go 2 blocks away, it’s dangerous. Check the Citizen app to see which to avoid."

- Charlene J.

"The history of the architecture of some of the homes are beautiful. You have some gorgeous Tudor homes and quaint, quiet streets in some areas. Also, many famous African-Americans have lived in this area. There are still many, hardworking folks and families who live here. I hope the neighborhood will become safer over time. It takes a community to make it happen. "
