6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt’s sad to recognize the disparity that is displayed at Arlington high School. This school is so racially divided and African American kids are subjected to stereotypical behaviors from other children and worse of all teachers. I hope that they will invest in teaching their staff a different culture. Please be mindful that the demographics in this community/district is now changed and is continuously changing.iParent Review1mo ago - Overlook Primary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHey, so i wrote the review where 5 ppl found it helpful so let me properly explain the teacher who was rude to me. So she would bully me for not being able to speak english well at that time, as well as treating me differently from the rest of the other kids in my class and because of that teacher i didnt really like overlook that much. Also theres a lot of other factors as to why i didnt like overlook that much, but i’ll explain that later.Other Review3mo ago - Titusville Intermediate School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, this school is pretty decent, but one thing I don't like is the nurses. One time, I went to the nurse because I felt like I was going to throw up. A gray-haired lady was somewhat rude to me and told me to go back to class; this incident occurred during the 6th period. After that, I returned to class. However, in the 7th period, I felt worse and went back to the nurse. The same gray-haired lady seemed annoyed and a little mad that I came back. I tried telling her that I was definitely going to throw up, but she dismissed that and rudely told me to go back to class, so I did. In the 8th period, I actually threw up. If that lady had let me go home earlier, I wouldn't have thrown up in school. Now, there have been many instances where the nurses have treated other people the same way, being rude and dismissive to my friends and my sibling. What I'm saying is that they need to hire better nurses.Other Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 30 Rombout Ridge Rd.

" I’ve lived here for 10 years and it has been a very safe and enjoyable neighborhood to live in. The schools are very good both public and parochial. There is great access to shopping, groceries and restaurants. There are lots of parks, museums and rail trails in the area. The city also has the walkway over the Hudson which is a great attraction. Access to NYVc is easy and 1:30 minutes on the train with a ride along the Hudson River. Overall the area is safe. The four seasons give a great opportunity to enjoy the holidays. "

"There are community events. However, ALL are not always welcome. For the community to be so diverse, there's a lot of prejudice and judgement. It is a small community with a lot of negativity, drugs and gangs. Not a lot of free inner city activities and/or activities with small fees aren't close for non drivers."
