3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery Poor. My child is special needs, and we had to fight and fight, just to get that recognized. I couldn't possibly state everything here we had gone through with this school. What a nightmare. All the teacher's, staff, etc are 'in bed together'. You have to fight so hard just for your child to get treated fairly. They say they want the parent involved, but when the parent steps in, they don't like it and accuse you of being a helicopter parent. My child has suffered emotionally because of how the adults acted. It's shocking and unbelieveable. They want the money, but don't want to give what the child needs. I have a retired teacher that lives around the corner from me, and she said get your child somewhere other then the Olean school district! Don't even ask me what I and many others think of the Principal and Superintendent, what a joke!Parent Review9y ago - Olean Senior High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the most frustrating school I’ve had to deal with. This school fosters an environment of “be glad our good charity educates your child.” Very entitled and disconnected staff. Unaccommodating. Severe behavioral problems are not well managed with difficult students. The principal is difficult and snooty. Given the VERY limited options in our county, this is just defeating. Do better, Olean!Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 119 S 11th St.

"Incredibly walkable, which is great for teenagers and people without cars. Some areas are not great traffic wise but that's to be expected."

"I just moved out of the city but lived there in my last house for ten years. My neighbors became my friends. We helped each other and looked after each other. Everyone on our block maintained their homes and yards well. It was a great West End neighborhood. Plus, it was convenient to everything - grocery, bank, gym, restaurant, movie and even the liquor store!"

"Restaurants, groceries and retail shops all within easy walking distance but with the river nearby there is a country-feel too"

"I have lived here for almos 40 years and have never encountered neighbors like these. These neighbors drive past our house blowing their horns at obscene hours of the day, they tell obscenities at me and my mother and claim they are "vigilantes" carrying out "mob rule." We have had enough of the harassing comments, destruction of our property, and the camera pointed off their house and into my bedroom. Someone moving into Fountain Street beware."

"there are many families and many grandparents in this neighborhood. There is a nice playground with ballground and basketball hoop. The park has a spotlight to illuminate at night ."
