"It’s a great neighborhood for you to raise your children. Family oriented and has all of the popular things that you are looking for stores. All the shops and stores easy commute to the city. With great parks areas to enjoy. Private beaches are clean and safe to use. "
  • Giovanni R.
"drive or train from Babylon station to the city. very easy to get to Babylon train station. super quick if Babylon is first stop "
  • Demetrious S.
"It’s multi cultural and everyone is forthcoming with love. There is a space for everyone to live and come together "
  • Brittanycitti
"there are no sidewalks and we live close to deer park avenue which is concerning when you have a dog. there are also no areas to put dog bag stations "
  • Brittanycitti
"we used to have block parties that were alot of fun for the children in the neighborhood. we sit out on fourth of July and watch the fireworks"
  • Brittanycitti
"deer park avenue has access to hundreds of stores. it's also easy to get to parkway, etc. almost everything you need can be found right on deer park avenue"
  • Jeffery S.
"Someone was ran over and dragged to death a couple of blocks from here. Gangs of motorcycle and 4 wheelers run up and down all streets around here and there are hot rod drag races up and down Deer Park Ave. weekly."
  • Kayla
"This neighborhood is all about location, parts can be neighborly and quaint while others feel colder and more like living on a highway. As someone who went through the high school I would say it is going downhill relatively fast but still with some decent academic programs"
  • Jennifer L.
"My neighborhood is minutes from the main hub of the LIRR in Babylon village. Deer Park Ave/Route 231 runs directly through deer park, Babylon and north Babylon w all major fast food places, supermarkets, nurseries and gyms as well as directly to LIE AND SUNRISE HWY. I grew up and went to school here and the town is a very close knit, family oriented town. Not only does most everyone I grew up and went to school with still live and raise their children here but also most of the businesses here are owned and run by them as well. We are also a very school spirited sports oriented town proud of our blue and white colored bulldog represented mascot teams! "
  • Amzaa2668
"The elementary schools are great but the middle school has had a lot of bullying going on for many years. There are so many children there who suffer from anxiety and fear going to school on a daily basis. "
  • Tacogeo1
"schools are good besides what you hear. sports oriented community. lived here most of my life. very diversified"
  • Dmike095
"Halloween is a major event. Christmas also has a few parade celebrations. During the summer we have the local church street fairs. "
  • Edwin E.
"The local firefighters and volunteers put on a beautiful parade during Christmas. Halloween in our neighborhood is always packed with kids and the costumes are amazing."
  • Jamie C.
"NBFCO does a mother’s day flower sale. There is always something to do at the town library. "
  • Trulia User
"Schools are ok with good sports and music. Ethnically diverse quiet neighborhood except for some traffic noise"
  • Joe
"best neighborhood for any that likes peace and quiet. I have lived here since 2010, the holidays are seen and heard. we even have parades. it's an ear shot from the outlets."
  • Cmaikens
"The homes are well maintain and the people are friendly. The price for homes are marketable. The neighbor is safe. "
  • John C. C.
"Crime has begun to increase in the area. The schools are good, they are always what you make of it. "
  • Caitlin R.
"It’s within a short few minute drive to most shopping you can think of, equal distance to two different trains, and close to the southern state & the beach."
  • John C. C.
"Diversed neighborhood, make sure you have security cameras as you can trust no one. Its not s bad neighborhood but not a great on either "
  • Erika C.
"Good old neighborhood, people still lookout for each other and very friendly. Everything is close by and all type of mom and pops restaurant "
  • Linda
"living here in a prime of of the town of babylon. walking distance to ALL amenities this town has to offer. From schools to senior recreation center as well as town parks. with all this area has to offer the peace and quiet is still there to enjoy-the best of both worlds."
