Currently elevators to subway are under construction with no shuttle buses available to get to next train station, especially no access to go uptown above 191 unless you schlep down a very steep extremely long winding hill via Fairview to Broadway or Fort George Hill to Nagle/Dyckman Ave"

"I’ve lived in different parts of this neighborhood my entire life of 38 years. I’ve seen the many stages and transitions. Things have definitely improved, the parks are cleaner and nicer and are able to be appreciated more , unfortunately though a lot of the people crying about gentrification aren’t doing much to better the community or are oblivious to how they contribute to setting things backwards. With that said , Inwood Washington heights is unique, with tons of history, culture and more neighborly than people give it credit. I love it here "
