GRAND & GRACIOUS: SPRAWLING CORNER SHOWSTOPPER w/SUNSETS SUPREME & DEDICATED OFFICE
(Architect measured & DoB signed-off ~2,453 SF)
With a Central Park West address whose location comes with bragging rights, this heroic Alden home enjoys a prime position in its full service building. With big-sky and open city views, every one of this rambling residence's rooms enjoys bright exposures and an impressive scale. Above you are high ceilings with recessed lighting, underfoot are wood floors, and all around you is space -- bright, double-corner, stretch-out space with dramatic views day and night.
The corner living room is blessed with two exposures and many large windows -- including an over-scaled picture window that theatrically showcases the room's sunshiny sky and architectural views. With a decorative fireplace and open-plan access to the large dining room, this area has great flow -- smartly accommodating grand living and entertaining. Served masterfully by the jumbo, open, windowed cook's kitchen (with its top-tier stainless appliances by Viking, Subzero, and Miele, ample stone counters and cabinets, a prep island, and extra big dining bar), this great room is worthy of the name.
The two bedroom wings are quite separate from the living/dining/kitchen spaces, providing for graceful function and quiet privacy. The primary bedroom is a corner abode with two walk-in closets, a decorative fireplace, stunning light, vibrant views, and an ensuite bath with claw-foot soaking tub and separate shower. The three guest bedroom suites are large, offer impressive closet and desk spaces, and feature more of this home's bright, feel-good vibe. The bonus room is a fantastically flexible space ideal for all of your growing needs. Served by its own full bath, this can be your guest space, your home office, your den, your gym, or your fifth bedroom.
With in-home laundry, and super-prime access to its Emery Roth designed, pet-friendly building's full service staff, resident superintendent, glorious park-view roof garden, and building bike/laundry/storage rooms, life here is good. With every area cultural, dining, shopping, fitness and entertainment destination nearby -- not to mention Central Park as your backyard, and a plethora of easy transportation options right outside the door -- this big-hearted home is easy-to-live and easy-to-love.
Come for the space -- stay for the sunsets. Your grand, gracious life awaits.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a wonderful school with a great community - especially at the K level. Our son is in his second year at PS009 and loves the school. In fact the school is the only reason we are still living in NY. My son has made amazing friends and has learned so much not just about academics but also about social responsibility and the importance of kindness. Both his K and 1 teachers have been extraordinary and demonstrate that they sincerely care about the children. Unfortunately Mayor Adams has determined education is not a priority in NYC so our class sizes have become rather large (28 in my son's 1st grade class), but fortunately the teachers are qualified to handle these larger class sizes and the school provide small group instruction at least twice a week for every child.Parent Review1y ago - Ms 243 Center School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Center School from 2013-2017, and might I say that it thoroughly shaped me into a headstrong and socially intelligent individual. I know for a fact that every other person in my graduating class would say the same. The experience at this school expands far beyond academia, and you are given a beautiful, fulfilling experience about what it really means to be a good person. Being in such a tightly knit community guarantees that every single student will make very memorable bonds with all sorts of people. While at the same time, we get some of the highest test scores in the state. Although, you only fully realize what incredible place it is once you've left because then, you fully realize how much it has changed you. Thinking back to my first day here, I was extremely introverted, and I didn't know how to raise my head up and look people in the eyes. Now I am on my way to college to major in Public Relations. The teachers at Center are (for the most part) true gems. They are incredibly authentic people who go above and beyond to see kids become wonderful students, and more importantly, quality people. Some of the best teachers I had have now since retired, but I am sure that anyone who goes to Center will find themselves an experience just as meaningful and enriching. Parents, at times you may be left wondering what on earth they are having your kids doing, but believe me, it's for a very good reason.Other Review3y ago - The Global Learning Collaborative

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGlc is a good school! The teachers care about their student! My doughter is in 11th grade and is fond of her teachers. Going thru sat prep , regents is not easy for a 11th grader, but the teachers have been there with her supporting and guiding . It has a long way to go to become a great school but i am sure it will get there.Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 225 Central Park N #818.
