    This school is the type of school that should be shut down. My daughter goes to this school and she hates it and so do I. Many of her friends have transferred out and have said that the new school is 10x better. The teachers have no control over students and their disciplinary system is laughable. Many children have done very disrespectful things at the school and nothing has been done. These students prevent my daughter from learning and it is extremely frustrating. The school review has said that students get opportunities that other students do not get but that is not true. It's acually the opposite. Other schools are already teaching our eight graders high school work but this school is way behind. This school barely goes on trips due to student behavioral issues. There are teachers that lose work and hold it against the students. I have first handedly seen teachers use profanities against the students in a very demeaning way. Many teachers have even been known to pick up chairs and threaten to throw at students. This school is the kind of school you wouldn't want your child in.

    The score here must be outdated because my child who just successfully completed her kindergarten year here is excelling in more than one subject. My child came in with a very strong stance, which is a defense mechanism for her. I thought they would misinterpret her, yet they worked hard with her and helped her to succeed way beyond their expectations!!!!! I love this school and although its just the beginning I look forward to her years growing here. Everyone is pleasant and very much into every student succeeding in their path. They are investing so much money into this school and they have so many wonderful programs for them to do besides just sitting in the classroom. The one thing that they can make better is their choice of class pictures. That's minor compared to the actual curriculum. Thank You Lexington Academy you guys are all super amazing!!!! We look forward to September 2017!

    Global Tech has a very diverse curriculum of music, art, forien languages, honors math and enlish language arts. They have a great wxtended program of sports and robotics as well as specialized high school exam prep. The students learn about finance, government, cultures and a host of other areas of concentration. The staff pays attention to their students and reward them with paychecks that can be cashed in for special activities and acticles that can be bought from the school. I have never seen my child so happy. He is developing into a stong, respectful individuals. He is able to make independant decisions that with carry him over into his adult hood. Global Tech is preparing their students for college by exposing them to college settings. They travel to different colleges and skpe to learn about how other students learn around the world. The Principal Ms. Russel is outstanding. She actually interacts with her students closely to encourage them. Ms. Russel along with the rest of the staff are dedicated in seeing tha our children are safe, nurtured and recieving the best education they can give them.

    "The neighborhood may not be the safest or cleanest of them all but the housing is affordable. There are stores on almost every corner and many super markets. You are close to the 6 train line and a few different buses like the M115 and BX99. You are close by the FDR highway so parking can sometimes be hard to find if you own a vehicle that is. But overall even though this place may not be ideal for you it’s a place to stay until you are able to afford for another place of your choice."

    "I lived in this neighborhood for 3 years, it is close to the hospital, stores and subway! Love that everything is close by . The schools suck though I regret changing my daughter’s school to the neighbour hood charter school, the kids are rude and disrespectful!"
