7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLittle Tor is a great school because it is one of the smaller schools in the district, making it easy to get to know everyone, even when your child is not in a particular grade. The staff is always helpful and all the teachers my kids have had have been great with the kids and easy to communicate with. Our principal is really hands on and she along with her support staff all get to know the kids and families. Two of our 3 kids are now alumni of LT, we have one left. Each has done very well in the area of education, and I thank the teachers and staff at LT for this, because they take the time to listen to my concerns, when I have needed to discuss any issues my kids were having. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school! Excellent teachers and principals. If your child is an honored student they have many enriched classes. Also If your child needs more help the have classes so your children can get more help! The guidance counselor are helpful and kind. I if they call it a school physiologic or counselor but they are very sweet and help you a lot! I guess the challenging academic programs is enriched programs which they do have. "We are half hour drive into the city. Bus stops everywhere. Trains also! Stores and shoos are walks away. I travel into NYC regularly it’s so easy but we have beautiful land and country feel. The GW bridge is 25 minutes away from my front door . The train 10 min away the ferry is 15."

"There are lots of nice places to walk. Plenty of trails. Some of which include; Kennedy Dells, congers lake, high tor, and rockland lake. There are two dog parks that I know of. One at Kennedy dells and the other at congers lake. No off leash walking though. "

"We don’t really have community events, that is a huge reason why I am looking to move out of new city. Not a great place for young people to live in either, great for seniors. The parks are well maintained and it is an easy commute to places like bear mountain if you like to be outdoors. Would be better if they planned more community events for all to come out and enjoy "

"The taxes are to high. We should have a much nicer landscaping for what we pay. just like Westchester county offers. And they should have put a train on the new bridge to make our commute easier, which would make our property valve more "
