8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe amount of activities at this school are amazing, the schedule block they provide students with is fantastic. To state it's bad because it lacks diversity is a vacuous statement. The core of this school is great and it's what you make of it as a student. My children love it here and no I would not recommend the neighboring Amityville over here like someone below said. They clearly don't know that the Amityville district has teachers leaving and class sizes exploding. Do your research. I highly recommend this school!!!Parent Review11mo ago - Massapequa High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall POOR experience with a district that consistently votes on high budgets.Teachers are lazy starting from Elementary, we attended Lockhart.Social workers, Principal and Superintendent's representative will side with teachers in every case of poor behavior.I was raised in Queens and had SUCH a better pool of teachers who actually cared about teaching and were effective teachers.I was ask three times by the school why my child didn't play a sport but never asked why he got a grade of 1 in math.Massapequa high schools barely has anyone attending an IVY league university, 50% of the graduates go to no college because they parents never went to college. The school standard reflects the population that lives there. If you want ivy league players move to where the most highly educated parents live. Our kids are smart and athletic because we can balance work and play.Massapequa is where the families of fireman, policeman and town of oyster bay employees moved to give their kids a better opportunity except their kids never did. Most of them cannot afford to live in Massapequa as adults.Parent Review8mo ago - Unqua Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son just finished his first year at Unqua and we are very happy. The staff has been amazing. The school has provided wonderful social events and opportunities for the kids.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 34 Scott St.
