8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a guardian of a current student at this school, this student is being bullied and none of the teachers are doing anything about it. It was already pretty bad that the teachers aren't doing anything about the bullying, but it is worse that the teachers did not let this student tell their family members about it because they say that it will make it a bigger deal. It is not alright for a teacher to tell their student to not call their parent because of it will ruin their school reputation. The teachers dealing with this problem says that they will be able to fix the problem but they didn't do anything. Now this student is afraid to go to school because the bullies threathens to jump this student and call their friends over to also bully and join in. Also, the bullies didn't get in trouble because the teacher said that he did not see it happen. This isn't the first time this student was bullied but the first time, there was at least one teacher that tried to solve the problem but she left so now this student is having trouble solving this new problem. As for learning, teaching, and other parts of reviewing a school, if students don't feel safe then they obviously would not feel motivated or excited about learning and other activities.Parent Review11mo ago - American Sign Language & English Secondary School

"The school systems are biased just like they are everywhere else and it’s better to homeschool especially since there’s a lot of flexibility with homeschooling your kids "

"Living in Bergen Street you have to be use to sirens, All kinds all times, also you need to mk 90,000 to live in Bergen Street an w. Bigalow, I live down the street, the area is not bad an parking is getting really scarce🥲"

"if you like run down trailers high grass lots of wild roaming dogs then this place is for you!some of it is well kept but this trailer is on junk yard lane and condemned house rd. so much trash and terrible roads price to rent way too high for the condition of neighborhood "

" We know everyone on our street. It’s well kept, quiet and people are friendly. There’s hardly any crime or theft here"

"Private but close Great views Not easy with little kids but the trade off is the feeling of more privacy and views. All of sb is a privilege to live in. The mountain side gets more sunshine especially in the winter and mornings. It's close to trails but only 7-10 min drive from the beach. Almost everywhere in Santa Barbara is under 15 min anyway. It's a magical bubble of a place to live. "

"The excessive homelessness makes this neighborhood unique. Along with the apparent disregard for the abandoned buildings and liters of trash everywhere. "
- Jeff Theobald

"Homeless treated better than folks paying all the taxes. City officials don’t care and waste money. Taxes to high, and pushing out businesses. So much waste of taxpayer dollars!"

"I don’t know of any community events. Besides maybe the pumpkin patch they had last Halloween. The neighbors are friendly, but everything is so isolated that it’s hard to grow a community outside of a few nice neighbors "
