Someone here wrote that L.I.C has changed (for the worse) in the last three years. I went to L.I.C 17 years ago and it has always been bad. I am now 30 and even before me it already had its reputation. A determined student will cross all obstacles to get to the finish line. But what if you just remove the obstacles and allow your child to shine. I am grateful for the experience this high school has provided me with. It taught me the hard knocks of life. It made me a strong individual, along with those before me. But not everyone is equipped for that environment.

this is such a bad school, please don't send your child there. the bullying is just so much and the fact that no one does anything is just so absurd, there's fights every 5 seconds and again no one stops them. so please if you don't want your child to be harassed and bullied don't send them here.

PS78 did an excellent job during the pandemic , students are challenged academically (state test scores are on par w GT schools). Teachers are responsive and respond promptly, engage with you when needed, take the time to listen. The Vice Principal is awesome as well. Music teachers teach passion for music. I’m glad we moved to the neighborhood for this school. Frankly it’s the main reason we stay in NYC - if we land at the zoned middle school IS204 given the horrific DOE rezoning process, we will move to Westchester or somewhere.
