"Walkable to nearly everything you’d want to do. There are bus stops on almost every corner, then you have the boardwalk to walk east to west end. Then you have the train that is located in the central area. "

"The most beautiful drive to and from Long Beach over Loop and ocean parkways! The commute isn’t bad depending on where you are going but parking can be a nightmare if you don’t have your own spot or driveway."

"In my honest, humble opinion, there are a lot of dog owners here. Some are very good, and responsible. However some dog owners let their dogs bark a long time, and they don’t always pick up after their dog. "

"Dogs are always welcome and owners are friendly. People generally pick up poop. People throw bread or pretzels in the road to get birds to hang around, so people don’t speed down the street."

"I’ve lived here once with my grandfather and loved it so much that I wanted to move back. Which I did! I’m someone who loves the smell of the ocean coming through my window and know that I have a beautiful scenic route to look, walk or be nearby at whether it’s sunset or sunrise. Most people are friendly and there’s a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. I love that this town has many bicyclists; whether laid back cruisers or competitive cyclists. No matter the weather it’s a beautiful place to live. "

"I think the area of Long Beach is a very nice beach community. It’s a 50 minute commute from Long Beach to Penn Station/NYC. There are now so many residents that have dogs. Some dog owners are not responsible and leave dog waste in plastic bags on or in front of buildings and or other peoples property which is so disrespectful. Some dog owners are good and properly dispose their dogs waste. "

"Concerts on beach, fairs on boardwalk, races on boardwalk, surfing, volleyball, farmers market, parades, bars in west end, great restaurants (west middle and east), safe clean environment, can walk home at almost any hour, friendly neighbors, great community effort and contributions, everyone helps each other out, etc... only downfall is sometimes the west end during the summer months. Great place to raise a family. Most people are animal and nature fanatics. Most are also exercise enthusiasts. Tons and tons of bike riders and skateboarders. "
