5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageJean Nuzzi is a great school my son Walter Jeffrey Crespo has an IEP and that was his school he holds great memories of it. Today he is in 11th grade and a honor student taking a special honor class in science and math. I remember the first Parent-teacher conference back in the first semester of high school a teacher pulled me to the side and ask me what school he comes from because the label of education he has is very advance, I was more than happy to say “he comes from PS109 Jean Nuzzi”. They were like really. All his then teachers, principal, assistant principal, office personnel, therapist, security, house keeping, lunch service personal last but not least volunteers and parent coordinators made of him not only a great person but a great student, special thanks to the music teacher that would let him in the class at his lunch time even though it wasn’t in his program today he continues to play the piano and thanks to you he can read music. thanks Mrs. Campbell, let me tell you today Walter has an average of 99 in ELA and has kept all his classes above 95 since 9th grade.Thank you Jean Nuzzi Middle School, Doris I.G. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is good but, I've seen many reviews about bullying and the teachers and girl, boy bathrooms, etc. I'm going to this school in about 4 months and hope to not experience the same as what the others did.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 89-51 237th Street.

"I have lived in this neighborhood for over 20 wonderful years. neighbors are friendly, caring, and care fortheirproperty. it's a great neighborhood for children. holidays are special especially during Halloween where the streets filled with trick or treaters. Christmas time is a wonderful time in Bellerose many families put Christmas lights in their homes. one year there were even Christmas carolers. you can't make this up. Bellerose is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Our school system is district 24, wonderful school system. my son graduate from Bronx science HS after completing Public elementary and public middle school. The local library is awesome for children and teenagers. They offer reading clubs, story hours for tots, and chess clubs for teenagers. I could go on and on. Bellerose also had a strong active civic community. The New Yorker magazine even wrote a piece on this hidden jem. "
