    "You have to really look hard into the schools. All districts are not created equal and this is NOT one of the better ones. As for the neighborhood itself, each block has a different personality. One block may be safe and if you go 2 blocks away, it’s dangerous. Check the Citizen app to see which to avoid."

    "I've lived in Jamaica for about 12 years now and like the neighborhood. Most of my neighbors are friendly with families that take care of their homes. Bus and train transportation is abundant as well as nearby restaurants, hair and nail salons, drug stores, laundromats, child care and schools. This is a real family friendly place to live. There are some rougher areas of course but for the most part a nice place to live. "
