3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't see anything special things about this school. Most of the school administrators( not teachers) actually doing nothing. If you want to get something done with them, I am assure you , you need to go to school 02 or 03 times for same thing. very bad thing is they can't keep their appointments too. No one is responsible for anything. They always pass the ball to other person. It is very bad country like America. They need to do their duties at very perfect. That is why they have being paid. They will make their school very bad gradually. Plssss, look at your school administration staff and trained them properly to deliver better service to community. They can do that with the proper guidance. Do not let them work like fools and irresponsibly. One of the most worst place is student lunch room. It is like a place of smugglers. The teachers who taught for my kids are excellent. Basically I think the teachers are good.Parent Review10y ago - Eagle Academy for Young Men III

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey just want to have their seats filled. THE MOST TERRIBLE SCHOOL IN QUEENS , please learn from our mistakes as this is a huge problem for me and my only son. They basically lie to get you to fill the seat and then they break all promises. No one ever picks up the phone. No one seems to care about anything but numbers. I will be pulling him out ASAP because I cannot stand the lying and the lack of respect I have been shown and the fact that no one can even return a phone call is insane. I have to say that before you go to the open house and meet with the schools administrators make sure you record everything that comes out of their mouth or else you might end up making the biggest mistake of your life. I have a child with a learning disability which was why I was so happy to be accepted into the school. Before I accepted I went to the open house and spoke with the schools principle and told him about that concern of our son with ADHD and social anxiety, and Principle Smith told us that Eagle Academy is the best school for someone in his situation and they would be here to help in any way they could. Once we accepted his seat to Eagle Academy everything changed. Suddenly my child became another seat that was filled by the school. I was told that no one ever told me busing would be provided; which would have helped with the anxiety issue and the ADHD so he doesn't get lost or distracted walking alone to the city bus. We are working class parents who work from 7-6; meaning we need to be on our way to work by 6 and we had to call in late this whole week; but my husband was told that this could no longer happen or he would be given two weeks notice. The school keeps passing the buck to another department and we are beyond upset. They pretend they care but they don't....Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 10715 171st St.

"This area is clearly declining as is evident in the aging homes wanting renovation and upkeep. There is little else here in addition to the history in the name - schools, transportation, sanitation services, parks, things one would expect from a prime neighborhood are lacking. "

"You have to really look hard into the schools. All districts are not created equal and this is NOT one of the better ones. As for the neighborhood itself, each block has a different personality. One block may be safe and if you go 2 blocks away, it’s dangerous. Check the Citizen app to see which to avoid."

"The history of the architecture of some of the homes are beautiful. You have some gorgeous Tudor homes and quaint, quiet streets in some areas. Also, many famous African-Americans have lived in this area. There are still many, hardworking folks and families who live here. I hope the neighborhood will become safer over time. It takes a community to make it happen. "
