"If you have a dog in this neighborhood, know that there aren't many dog parks but there's plenty of space in other parks that should allow dogs. Unfortunately a lot of dog owners don't pick up their dogs' poop here tho"

"Dog owners would love that the neighborhood is very pet-friendly! There are parks nearby for pets as well. Some pet owners would not like the fact that some other owners do not always clean up after their pets."

"Fairly religious neighborhood, quiet and safe, awful parking, 0 hospitality. The area shuts down on Fridays and Saturdays. People can be a little rude, very snobby and standoffish. It's ok though, I like the quickness."

"I see people walking their dogs all the time and are pretty friendly. The area is very congested and it’s very had to find parking if you drive. The area is very diverse so you have a chance to meet new people."

"Extremely hard to get to the subway (E, F, or further away 7). Bus is essential even to get to the subway lines. Bus service is scarce because most in the area drive. Unfriendly neighborhood dominated by a cluster of residents who seems to see others not like themselves as intruders to their close knit community. Pass by a person on the sidewalk, no smiles or eye contact and not a word of thanks for me moving aside to accommodate them. Most don’t think dogs are cute but rather are unclean and pull their children away as if I am a dangerous person. Never again. Beautiful area if you fit in and safe. Not very American who have the civility to smile or nod, and I love that about America."

"I lived here for 4 years. Forest Park is beautiful and it’s so convenient to take the LIRR into the city. The neighborhood is unique because of the types of homes in the area. "
