What Locals Say about Deer Park

  • Joe M
"There seem to be a lot of dogs in the area. There are not many dog parks, or any parks that allow dogs. Most of the backyards are big enough for dogs to have space to run around and get exercise "

"Commute is typically good, except for Deer Park Ave. a lot of traffic and poor drivers. Not enough left turn arrows so you could be sitting for a while depending on time of day"

The park has tennis courts, basketball courts, a roller skate hockey rink, a decent sized really new play set area, pools as well as ample parking space. It's also conveniently close to the newly built Wyandanch train station and apartment complexes as well as the stores in the apartment areas and an incredible amount of parking available. The grocery store and 24hr CVS is around the corner as well as Starbucks, Chase bank and several other convenient stores and pet services within walking distance if need be."
