7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageP.S.100 is just as wonderful as Christmas morning. The staff goes above and beyond any expectations. Our son felt comfortable there from the very first day. It’s safe and welcoming. Kids play in the schoolyard most of the time during recess. In the second grade, our son had a fantastic teacher, Ms. Farillo, who is very supportive, knowledgeable, and kind. This year, his classroom teacher is Ms. Korkis. She is a phenomenal teacher and a human being. ELA in the third grade is on a completely different level as kids learn to write essays and analyze complicated texts. Ms. Korkis always finds a way to explain challenging concepts, guiding kids through every step of the process. She is loving and kind, organized and engaging, enthusiastic and encouraging. We are very grateful to the staff of P.S. 100 for everything they do.Parent Review1mo ago - Is 303 Herbert S Eisenberg

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagetotally unacceptable ethics from the new principal of this school.4 senior cats were born and raised on a school property and all the previous principals were amazing to allow shelters and a food station to be on the school property. these 4 cats lived a wonderful life for over 10 years as everything was kept very clean and out of the way in a parking lot of the school, until the new principal came. Last Thursday evening we went to feed them and found the shelters and food stations were gone!the cats are now thrown out of their home of 10 years. We went to speak to the school and the custodian told me he mentioned to the principal they have been here for years. She said she didn’t care and wanted everything gone and destroyed, HEARTLESS!One of the ladies who feed the cats and discover the shelters destroyed wrote to the principal, but she has never responded back. She also told the superintendent's office of district 21,No one is allowed to feed them anymore. and these cats may starve. This is a junior high school. The principal obviously does not like cats, has no compassion. a horrible principal makes a horrible school environment.Other Review9mo ago - Check out schools near 448 Neptune Ave #17F.

"Where I’m at you have to take the bus to the station t Coney Island. The waits can be pretty long 10-20min for buses. Luckily there are dollar cabs rolling through regularly. To get to anywhere popular like the city or even Williamsburg takes forever. Definitely don’t recommend living here unless you own a vehicle. Takes about 1.5-2.0 hrs to get to midtown Manhattan using public transportation."

"Great transportation but everything is far from here. It takes about 30 mins by car or subway on a good day. Lots of public spaces and it’s great in the summer. Extremely cold in the winter. Flooding can happen if you own a home. We are seconds away from the ocean in all directions. "

"I have lived in this neighborhood for 22 years, and have a lot of friends. There is Coney Island Amusement Park, open from Palm Sunday to Labor Day. We have Nathan’s Famous Restaurant the Famous Cyclone and our famous Cyclones Baseball minor leaguers. You can drive, just stay away from housing and private parking lots. There is also the Famous New York Aquarium newly renovated. We have IHOP, Applebee’s Restaurant, Grimaldi’s Famous pizzeria, Foot Prints Caribbean Restaurant. There are both free and paid concerts, check for days."
